VistaCreate makes beautiful graphic design easy

This post is brought to you by VistaCreate.

Graphic design software VistaCreate offers an array of tools that can help anyone create effective images for their business or project — optional design skills.

To do that, the easy-to-use graphic design software offers a huge array of templates, free access to a massive library of images and videos, and handy tools, like a new background remover that helps open up your image options.

Even better, the free version of VistaCreate is feature-rich on its own. But if you want even more, you can try the Pro version for a few dollars a month.

VistaCreate free graphic design software

VistaCreate, formerly known as Crello, finds many of its more than 10.8 million users among social media marketers, small business owners and creative types with projects in mind. The free graphic design platform with more than 75,000 templates and a library of 70 million design assets is incredibly useful for a wide variety of uses.

Feature tool: Background remover

With VistaCreate’s background remover feature, you can remove the background from any image, or make it transparent, in just a few seconds. There is no need to spend time doing it manually. You can quickly and easily give a new look to your visuals.

This can prove useful in many ways. Let’s say you start with an image of your product. You can quickly remove the background and make it appear on a plain white background, ready for promotion on marketplaces. You can also remove backgrounds and resize images for various placements, like adding logos on different marketing materials.

Also, you can use the add-on for background remover — an eraser brush. It will help you create designs with multiple objects and get a clearer contour after using the automatic background remover.

Free access to vast image and video library

VistaCreate users gain free access to a library of 70 million royalty-free photos, high-resolution videos and vector art for unlimited use, at no extra cost. In addition to being able to download these assets, they can be used anywhere.

Choose from millions of royalty-free images to make your project look great.

Arkansas School for Mathematics, Sciences, and the Arts

The Visual Arts and Design Program of Distinction offers students at the Arkansas School for Mathematics, Sciences, and the Arts an arts curriculum that develops their artistic talents and creativity while creating a talent pipeline that builds on recent private investments in arts education at colleges and universities throughout Arkansas.

The Visual Arts and Design program provides students with opportunities to take immersive, college-level courses in 2D, 3D and other traditional visual arts topics as well as graphic design and digital photography. Courses such as Modern Design and Craft, Ceramics, Digital Art and Graphic Design expand ASMSA’s art offerings beyond traditional painting and drawing classes.

The POD’s curriculum includes eight courses called the Foundations of Visual Arts Sequence that align with most undergraduate majors and minors in visual art. It allows students with a deep passion for visual arts sufficient time to explore fundamental principles while also focusing on building a portfolio that reflects their own personal interests. The courses culminate in a Senior Studio course that focuses on portfolio building, art as a profession, personal branding, college planning and submitting to various competitions.

The Visual Arts and Design POD is the most recent effort by ASMSA to expand its investment in the arts, which was made part of the school’s legislated mission in 2004. That change was adopted 18 years ago on July 1, meaning the arts has been part of ASMSA’s name and core mission longer than the original Arkansas School for Mathematics and Sciences moniker chosen when the school was created in 1991.

Over the past decade, ASMSA has used institutional funds as well as private gifts to increase the standing of the arts program at the school. Three full-time art instructors have been added to the faculty, new courses were introduced and new equipment has been purchased.

Those investments have in not only a more dynamic curriculum but also in students’ abilities and recognition as well. As students are introduced to an increased number of art techniques and styles, they are using them to create award-worthy pieces. Students have earned recognition in the Thea Foundation Scholarship Competition, the Governor’s Young Artist Competition, the Arkansas Young Artists Association Competition and the Congressional Arts Competition among others.

The POD also strengthens the school’s bonds with Hot Springs’ vibrant local arts community. Additional collaboration with the Hot Springs Cultural Alliance, Arts in the Park and individual artists present students the chance to better engage with local artists and build relationships with community advocates. Student have participated in art projects sponsored by the city, including mural paintings at recreation facilities area.

Students who choose the participate in the Visual Arts and Design POD also complete a Concurrent Core that ensures all students graduate from the school with at least 30 hours (one year) of college credit. Recent graduates have averaged nearly 50 hours over their four semesters of study at ASMSA.

Navajo man using designs to shed a light on MMIP

A Navajo man is getting a lot of support for his artwork. Not just because of his designs, but how they represent the issue of missing and murdered indigenous people (MMIP).”I used to sketch a lot. Three in the morning, I would just be sketching. I had books and tons of sketches, Delwin Lewis, owner of Creations Ink Apparel. Graphic designing was a passion Lewis always had, but he didn’t draw just anything. The Diné husband, and father of two, often includes a variety of Native American symbolism in his crafts. Particularly when it comes to certain issues within his own community, such as MMIP. “Growing up, I knew a lot of people. I just know where they were at,” he said. “I see their names sometimes on the missing . I’m like ‘oh, I went to school with them.'”Lewis’ own grandfather was murdered in Gallup in 1968.”Long time ago, my grandpa Leo Lewis was murdered in Gallup , New Mexico. He was stabbed in the heart. They took his money and they just left him there,” Lewis said. The graphic designer said the impact of his grandfather’s passing, and his family’s mourning, served as an inspiration one day. That led to the creation his first design, known as “Breaking Silence.” It features a native woman with a red handprint across her face. An image shared online and immediately loved by everyone. I started seeing the numbers kept going ,” he said. “So, I just started designing stuff.”The sketch is now one of over 100 creations Lewis has on his iPad. “Sometimes I just sit there and watch TV, and all of a sudden, I’ll just think of something. Then I’ll just go to my iPad and I’ll just sketch,” Lewis said. Some of Lewis’ designs are already on t-shirts, hats, and posters. Then, he sells his merchandise to customers from all over the world via social media. Lewis also attends local flea markets across New Mexico.”I have some people that are buying my stuff from Canada and mostly towards the east coast, like Alaska,” he said. All in hopes of spreading the awareness of MMIP even further, and to prevent others from experiencing the pain his own family feels to this day. “Mostly spread awareness to wherever they’re going, and to the families,” Lewis said. “To take care of them and teach them about everything that’s going on.”Lewis is already planning to expand his business with other merchandise, like skateboards and handbags.
