We launched a statewide survey of faculty districts in fall 2021. A complete of 213 districts responded to the survey, and these districts serve 50 percent of the state’s K–12 population.

In this report we goal to look at the impact of COVID-19 on science education; understand the challenges in high-need districts; explore districts’ plans to support science training in restoration; and establish policy levers that may support an equitable science training submit-pandemic and past.

In our interviews with representatives from eight early implementation districts, we found they experienced the identical challenges that other districts faced during distant instruction.
